Radiator fittings — interior designers forget about it

Interior designers, when creating designs for the arrangement of a living room, bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen in a Glamour style, with persistence worthy of a better cause, forget about such an important and clearly visible detail, which is the radiator fittings.

It is simply spectacular with which they carefully choose wallpapers, candlesticks, platters, knick-knacks, door handles, fittings, knobs, even trimmings on pillows, and they forget about the thermostatic head. As a result, in many interiors, you can see radiators, color-matched to the arrangement, accompanied by ugly white temperature setting knobs. It is true that the head, valves and other elements of the radiator fittings are purchased separately (they are not sold with the radiators), but this does not mean that you cannot buy the one that will best suit the radiator.

It is hard to guess where the belief that the valve must be white and ugly came from because there are simply no others. They are very nice and made in Poland! It's time to stop treating radiator fittings as a necessary evil and turning a blind eye to its imperfect appearance. It's time to start choosing it so that it looks like it was bought together with a radiator.

Radiator fittings — how to choose them correctly

First, it should be remembered that the thermostatic head should not protrude beyond the plane of the radiator. It should be small and discreet, and at the same time subtly elegant.

Another thing that is considered strictly in utility terms are radiator valves. Most often nickel plated and just plain ugly. You can accept them from poverty (but only from poverty) in the garage or workshop, but never in the living room, kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. It's a matter of aesthetics - utility does not mean ugly.

One cannot forget about purely technical aspects, i.e. whether the head will be on the right or left side of the radiator and whether a straight or angular connection will be needed. These are all seemingly insignificant details, but they are what determine the aesthetics.
